The following items are not to be disposed of at the Lawson Park garbage and re-cycling area.

HAZARDOUS MATERIALS
BULK ITEMS
   
There is no Bulk Item disposal at Lawson Park.
Bulk items must be taken to The Hamilton Community Recycling Centres for disposal.


Hamilton Community Recycling Centres
If the bulk item being discarded is the result of a new delivery, be sure to ask your dealer if they will dispose of the old item.

Propane bottles may be returned to any propane sales or re-filling depot for proper disposal where you normally have your propane bottles re-filled, generally at no-charge. 

Propane bottles can also be taken to, at no charge

appliances at the garbage/recycling area.

Do Not leave refrigerators outdoors without removing the door(s). Otherwise it is a suffocation hazard for children.

It is the "Camper's" responsibility to take tires to an appropriate disposal centre.

 Campers are required to take all furniture items to:

All paint, fuels, solvents, etc. are to be taken to the Hazardous Materials depot at the Hamilton Community Recycling Centres for proper disposal

Bulk items WILL NOT be picked up by the City of Hamilton. They must be taken home for scheduled pickup; or, taken to:

Empty paint cans, that are dry, with the lids removed may be disposed of with general waste. See Acceptable Items at Community Recycling Centres
   
  • Vehicle Batteries
  • Metals

DO NOT LEAVE

Car batteries are a dangerous hazardous material which may cause injury when left unattended at a garbage disposal / recycling centre. Batteries may be taken at
no charge to:

any metal items that are not authorized to be deposited in the recycling bins,
BBQ's, fire rings; bicycles, lawn furniture, sheds, siding, gazebo frames, table frames, metal doors, awnings, etc.
at the garbage / recycling area.

Metals or appliances will not be picked up by the City of Hamilton, at Lawson Park Family Camping Resort.
