Edna Elkins

Don passed away peacefully in his 79th year on Wednesday, August 14th with his two sons at his side. Predeceased in 2017 by his loving wife Edna (nee Graham) of more than 50 years. He was a caring father to Stewart (Susanne) and Stephen (Christine), and a proud and loving papa of Josh, Aimee, Evan and Megan. Don will be fondly remembered by his siblings Rusty (Mame), Anne, Stewart, Frank, Jean and Jane. Donís gregarious personality and sense of self will be dearly missed by the many friends he has made throughout his lifetime.

A visitation to celebrate Donís life will be held at DODSWORTH & BROWN FUNERAL HOME, 2241 New St. (at Drury Lane) Saturday, September 14, with the service beginning at Noon and a reception to follow.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to St. Josephís Healthcare Hamilton, Joseph Brant Hospital or the Alzheimer Society of Hamilton Halton, as these organizations were very supportive in Donís latter years.
Don Elkins and his wife Edna were former long-time campers of Lawson Park Family Campground and were residents of Blue Jay Heights.

Don and Edna also organized the weekly Fifty-Fifty event which also included occasional bus trips to local events such as the Winona Peach Festival, trips to the Mohawk Raceway and river cruise trips to The Grand River.
