    Rejane "Jeannie" Jackson
(nee Regimbal)

July 30, 1919 - January 4, 2015
    Proud WWII RCAF veteran
Passed away peacefully at her home in Burlington, ON. Born in 1919 in Sudbury, ON and raised in Haileybury ON, Jeannie enjoyed a full life always surrounded by family and friends.

In her younger years, Jeannie was an avid athlete; she played for one of the first Women’s Hockey Leagues in Canada - making it to a National Championship in 1933.

During the Second World War, Jeannie proudly served with the RCAF as a Morse Code Instructor. Shortly after the war, Jeannie and her husband Tommy (deceased in 1969) moved to Arizona - where she spent many years. Jeannie moved back to Canada in 2001 to be closer to her family in Burlington, ON.

Jeannie possessed a natural ability to create beauty wherever she went - and this ability shone through in her passion for gardening - earning her a Trillium Award for the stunning gardens she created at her property at the Lawson Park Family Camping Resort in Freelton, ON.

She is survived by her nephews Marc Police and Raymond Police, her nieces Rachelle Fraser and Lizanne Rowe as well as several grand nieces and nephews - all of whom brought her great joy, especially in her later years. Jeannie is also survived by her sister Delores “Delo” Morisset of Rouyn-Noranda, PQ, as well as 2 grand daughters, Michelle and Nicole. She will be dearly missed by all family and friends.
